Today, I wanted to start publishing my views on one of the most famous brands in the motor yachts world, Ferretti, who became Ferretti Group, led by Chairman Norberto Ferretti and CEO Giancarlo Galeone. Actually, I have already published about the original Ferretti Yachts, in a former post (from a former blogpost blog, Yacht Buying Savvy) which is now re-edited and much more complex in data and look. They “share a continuous quest towards quality, technological excellence, top performance, an exclusive, innovative design, maximizing comfort and taking painstaking care over detail”, as they proudly affirm of themselves on their carefully designed “musical” site. Elegant, indeed, Italian as expected. Remember Azimut, isn’t it? Another group, other Italians, perfectionists as hell and really good in what they are doing.
The Group owns some of the most exclusive brands in the nautical world: Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva, Itama, Bertram (not anymore, read the important update at the end of this article), Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line. I’ll present here, all of them, one by one, in different posts. I hope to cover the presentation as soon as possible. Here, you’ll have just some boat samples from them all. It is not the first time when I talked about Ferretti, but now everything will be much ample.
Ferretti Yachts, the Group’s historical brand established in 1968, builds flybridge motor yachts measuring 14 to 27 meters in length;
Pershing S.p.A., acquired in 1998, specializes in the production of high performance open cruisers measuring 14 to 35 meters in length;
Itama, acquired in 2004, specializes in the production of open motor yachts measuring 13 to 24 meters in length;
Bertram Yacht, Inc., acquired in 1998, builds sport fisherman motor yachts measuring 11 to 24 meters in length;
They aren’t allowing a normal downloading of their pics, so I have one of their models, from Yacht Forums.
Riva S.p.A., acquired in the year 2000, builds open and flybridge motor yachts measuring 8 to 35 meters in length;
[source is the same, wikimedia.org]
Mochi Craft, acquired in 2001, produces lobster boats measuring 13 to 23 meters in length;
As you see, both the logo and the sample, are from Wikipedia. Their Flash site uploads very hard and I haven’t have the patience to “cut” the pics. It’ll be a hell to present it separately, but I suppose I shall take the pics from forums or from independent brokers.
CRN S.p.A., acquired in 1999, production of steel and aluminum, displacement mega-yachts 46 to 85 meters in length, as well as two lines in composite materials with planing and displacement hulls 40 and 43 meters in length;
Custom Line, acquired in 1996, builds fiberglass maxi yachts measuring 26 to 34 meters in length;
The links provided when clicking on the company names, represent the model pictures sources as well. There may be exceptions and they may be credited separately. Between us, too many links are not good for SEO, so you are invited to search on your own as well, or to request any other info from me, by mail.
In this post are just samples of the group, but future posts will detail all members.
During February-April 2015, Bertram Yachts left Ferretti Group, being acquired by The Gavio Group, owners of Italian superyacht builder Baglietto.
