Important Note!
This article has been updated in June, 2015. As from April 2015, Bertram Yachts are no longer part of Ferretti Group (owned by the Chinese Weichai Group from 2012) because they have been acquired by The Gavio Group, owners of Italian superyacht builder Baglietto.
The Updated Article
In 2011, Bertram Yachts celebrated their 50th anniversary. They build sporty, powerful fishing boats. They are now members of The Gavio Group, as I have already mentioned in the above note. They offer four new models, the 54, the 64, the 70, and the 80.
Bertram 54
When the first Bertram 54 was introduced, it changed the way people looked at sport fishing yachts. Today, the 54 is still stirring things up among top anglers by combining the fishing experience and cruising comfort.

Bertram 64
Perhaps more than any other Bertram, this one is born and bred for die-hard fishing enthusiasts. The 64 is an aggressive angler’s dream with a sleek profile and Deep-V hull that will get you out and on the fish no matter what kind of conditions the ocean decides to throw at you. This hull delivers maximum performance and increased maneuverability whether you’re motoring at 40 knots or trolling with lines out.

Bertram 70
The Bertram 70 is like today’s sport fishing benchmark. One look at its classic lines, broad beam and generously oversized cockpit and it’s clear that this boat is made to raise fish. There are plenty of storage lockers for all your tackle and multiple freezers for those days you can’t stop reeling in the keepers.
LOA | 74′ 2″ |
Length Hull | 70′ 2″ |
Beam | 18′ 11″ |
Draft | 5′ 3″ |
Displacement (Laden) | 116,404 lbs |

Optional Engine | Twin MTU 12V, Series 2000, 1947 |
Bertram 80
The extended cockpit gives you extra room to move about and a nice longitudinal fish box next to the fighting chair is perfect for putting the day’s catch on ice. This is the biggest model.
LOA | 82′ 11″ |
Length Hull | 79′ 1″ |
Beam | 22′ 5″ |
Draft | 5′ 10″ |
Displacement (Laden) | 185,240 lbs |

Optional Engine | Twin MTU 16V Series 2000, 2400 HP |
Prices are on the million dollar range. The newer, the dearer. It’s a luxurious toy which doesn’t seem to be able to cross the ocean.
