This is an edited post from my former blogpost blog, Yacht Buying Savvy, which no longer exists.
Another famous company, the Italian Ferretti, who considers itself the best flying bridge motor yachts builder, is now part of Ferretti Group. It offers models of the highest luxury, combining the classic with the modern, the price range showing exactly that.
Ferretti 500 with a twin Cummins 600 can reach up to 30 kn, giving value to her 15,11 m and 3 cabins.
The 530 can be delivered with two types of M/E, twin MAN 730 or twin MAN 800 CR, 16 m, 3 cabins more space than the 500. It is hard to evaluate the difference in money, but it seems obvious that this model is an evolution in design, power and scope. I found two made in 2002 with 510,000 Euros and one in 2006 with over 600,000 Euros.
Ferretti 570 with a LOA of 17.42 m, again delivered with two types of twin MAN M/Es, may have a max speed of 32.5 kn
Ferretti 620 has a LOA of 18.77 m. Max speed with MAN V10 – 1100 CR is 33 kn, and with MAN V8 – 900 CR is 30 kn.
Ferretti 690 has a LOA of 21.07 m and can reach a max speed of 28.5 kn equipped with MTU 8V 2000 M84 M/E or MTU 8V 2000 M84.
Ferretti 700, a piece of art at 21,20 m, space, comfort and a contemporary design. The prices for this model seems to be only on request, because all are new. I choose to show some interior pics from this model. Italians are really good at designing yachts, that’s obvious.
It can accomodate 20 people on board and can reach between 32 to 35 kn maximum speed.
Cabins and bathrooms are state of the art.
Ferretti 720 is perfect balance between the classical-contemporary style and a modern taste for interiors, combined with a high impact design, at a LOA of 21.79 m.
Ferretti 750 is the Master of Elegance, at 22.38 LOA.
Innovation, combined with a classical – contemporary design gave birth to Ferretti 800, with a LOA of 24.71 m.
Ferretti 870, at a LOA of 26.64 m, on the hull in particular features two large open view windows at the master cabin’s level, large opening portholes in the guest cabins and two windows in the fore VIP cabin.
The Ferretti 881, flagship of the Ferretti Yachts range, is characterized by an innovative use of space at a LOA of 27.07 m.
Ferretti 881 RPH maintains the structural excellence of the original yacht Ferretti 881, with the addition of an upper deck containing a pilot house that dominates the sea.
“A villa on the sea” is called the Altura 840, with a 25.76 m LOA.
Step on board and the cockpit, teak – paneled like all the exterior flooring, immediately reveals the attention devoted to maximizing space for social interaction – a large rectangular table in teak, a fixed bench and three armchairs can accommodate up to eight guests. The interiors, as elsewhere, are in teak, and the walls are entirely paneled in wood, with light colored fabric for the upper sections. The salon is flooded with light from the two large rectangular windows, and includes a living area intended for total relaxation. [extract from their site, like all the pics]
The price for this jewel may range from $4 Million (for a 2009) to Euro 4.3 Million (for a 2013 model). Cutting the crookmanship (the last price was from no other than yachtworld.com, one may suppose that 4 Million Euros is a good price for this last presented model with four cabins. I couldn’t find engine room pics for Altura, but that’s fine. It’s awfully new. All the brokers are dealing with official site pics :).
