I have discovered that when I transferred this blog from my former blogspot, wordpress took it all by the coma and letter. Maybe you know, that blogspot is a very unreliable platform, now acquired by Google, who may or may not improve it. All in all, my posts came here with their original fonts and settings, and now, as I have all the time in the world, I have to clean their mess. Actually I don’t have that time, but I’ll scratch for it, a few minutes per day :).
Tip: A major one, actually. Change on WordPress on your own domain now! You still have the time. Who knows what comes next?
On Blogspot, or Blogger, whatever, you may publish and rant as long as you are “quiet” and “original”. Somehow, if you want to make some money blogging, they offer you the possibility to put adsense there, only your traffic is not as well directed as you wish, and that’s because of the great numbers of blogs there. I’m only repeating some facts from all the people who made the change after they felt free to not spend a dime on a “ready to go” platform. It wasn’t quite so ready. I, personally lived all the experiments blogspot made on their users. Every time there were problems. The biggest problem of all, was when your content disappeared without notice. Thankfully it wasn’t a problem since I wrote on notebook and published directly by copy and paste, maybe that’s the reason the font got so messed up. Pictures also had some weird settings, I had to put them on picasa to appear on a better frame, and so on. But all that is in the past now. This is a Genesis blog. I can do whatever I wish with it. WordPress is the most customizable blogging platform of whatever exists on the market now. And it’s free. It’s open source. Take their module, put it on your domain and now, you are the free one. You can plug your module to the premium devices designed specially for wordpress. Genesis Framework, for example. Genesis Child Themes, free or premium, plugins, tons of plugins. You’ll plug in a machine actually, something to work for you. This machine has SEO inside, you don’t need to spend money to additional SEO. You may do that but by having someone to link on your behalf, if you haven’t the time, that’s correct, but not to buy a separate “premium” plugin to make what Genesis is already making for your site with great success.
Genesis is already a premium thing, and sorry to be a dream spoiler, but it’s simpler and way better than Thesis. Even as money is concerned, but that’s another thing, maybe I’m already too professional now. You see, there are fantastic blogs which are using Thesis and they are very good in their niches. The owners will never say that Genesis is better. They’ll say it’s “good”, as Thesis is “good” as well. Who spotted the difference in the first time, switched from Thesis to Genesis without fuss and works as affiliates for both, because they are both “good” as I said.
I don’t have two faces. I prefer Genesis and I say it loud. About bloggers who prefer Thesis over Genesis, it’s like all the guys who prefer Facebook over Google+. They are not the same. I don’t dear to say a thing about people who preferred myspace over Facebook in the past. It’s not the same thing at all. So, I’m going to continue to edit and new posts will be ready soon enough. In the meantime, you may read this offer and contact me. It’s that simple. Some links on this page are affiliate. It’s normal.
