A very interesting Luxury Motor Yachts builder, Columbus, recently presented their new models, the Oceanic 45M and the 50M Coupé. I shall present the whole company in a future post, stay tuned. Designed by Studio Vafiadis, the series features all-aluminum construction, a three-deck layout and voluminous living spaces on board.
Columbus is an Italian manufacturer of luxury motor yachts, member of Palumbo Group, a family business from Naples. In order to maintain their somehow independence, the Palumbo Group has established super yacht after-sales and warranty facilities in Naples, Malta and Marseille.

Unfortunately I don’t have more pictures for the moment, one can find more info around, than on their official site.
They say that both models has been designed by Stefano Inglese Vafiadis, and it is blending different disparate styles, mixing the aggressive lines with the soft ones, the traditional inside, with the expansive modern open areas. Being semi-custom, all areas are open to reconfiguring. The upper deck contains the captain’s cabin, or it remains an open space. They are destined for the American and Asian markets, so the design is mainly it’s upon the buyers.
Both models will have a gym, spa, or a cinema room below decks. There are four planned staterooms already, so one of them can serve as cinema or spa.
Columbus Yachts is offering a standard MTU propulsion package to permit a 21-knot top speed and 17-knot cruise. It expects the Oceanic Coupé series to enjoy a range of 3,800 nautical miles at a few knots lower than cruise speed. Alternately, Columbus Yachts will equip the megayachts with diesel-electric propulsion. In this case, Siemens will be involved.

My gosh. What a unique design. It definitely marries the hard lines of modern design without making it look rigid or uncomfortable. Thanks for posting!
