Elan‘s boat building tradition began in 1949 with kayaks, canoes and small boat production made of waterproof wooden slabs. The company produces also the Impression Sailing Yachts, but on them, in a future post.
I’m gonna talk about the Elan models. They produce at the moment two series, the E, with E1, E3, E4, E5, and the S, sorted in S1, S3, S4, and S5.
Elan E1
Minimizing every stage of preparation for a sailing vacation, a number of innovative solutions enable you to pack, drive and sail in no time.

Incredible as it may seem, I have found the E series prices in Euros, and the S prices in US Dollars. They are as follows, and they are just for orientation, for 2015 models:
Elan E1: €26k
Elan E3: €82k
Elan E4: €117k
Elan E5: €168k
Elan S1: $37k
Elan S3: $132k
Elan S4: $176k
Elan S5: $250
It is very possible that the prices in Euros to have been given in the respective PDF downloadable files without VAT included, a whole %24 more.
They look fine, but they are not very cheap, at least not as I would expected in Central Europe. Maybe I’m wrong. The prices in USD are from yachtworld.com.
