The first Düsseldorf Boat Show was opened on November 27, 1969. It started with 116 exhibitors from eight countries, an exhibition space of 11,000 square meters and 34,000 visitors. Today, The Düsseldorf International Boat Show (German: Internationale Bootsausstellung Düsseldorf) is one of the world’s premier boat shows, where one can see even the biggest yachts to date, if they want to expose them.
This year, 2016, it opened on Saturday, January 23, and will stay open to visitors until January 31. On the first two days of the trade fair, a total of 80,120 boot enthusiasts crowded the 17 exhibition halls, attracted by the boot Düsseldorf motto “Experience 360° water sports” and the prospect of being spirited off to distant water worlds.
