The 2019 Monaco Yacht Show started on September 25th and will end Sunday, on September 29. This is one of my two favorite shows of the year. What you have to know about the king of all boat shows or the queen of all yacht festivals is that here are exposed only superyachts, not merely boats or other toys.
This post will be about the awards. There are four awards for four superyachts, but now, in 2019, one of them took two awards. The winners are as follows:
For the Rina Award, S/Y Attila, by Sanlorenzo. The 64 meters yacht distinguished as the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show eco-friendliest superyacht according to the environmental standards established by the Italian classification company.

The MYS Exterior Design Award was won by “Excellence”, an 80 meters superyacht delivered by Abeking & Rasmussen. Her design is considered visionary.
Superyacht Excellence
The MYS Interior Design Award has been presented to the biggest superyacht in the show, “TIS”. It has 111 meters LOA, it was built by Lürssen, and it was designed by Winch Design. It has interiors inspired by a mixture of palaces and Grand Hotels around the world. I shall present TIS in a future post.

The fourth award has been won by “Excellence” as well. It is called the MYS Finest New Superyacht of the Year.
The 2019 Monaco Yacht Show features a line-up of 125 superyachts, of which 44 new launches. This year’s exhibitor’s list is the largest and the most voluminous ever exhibited since 1991. The total worth of superyachts on display reaches around 4 billion Euros.
