I have recently found a new set of questions related to the subject of using or not a broker in the process of buying or selling the boat, and they were answered by a nice guy, who allegedly helped the respective publisher to the acquisition of a brand new boat. Unfortunately he works for a brokerage corporation and some of his answers were obviously biased by his employer's policies. I want to re-enforce that I do not like brokers in general. I can act like one, because I actually was one of … [Read more...]
The Successful Turkish Broker
This blog is dedicated to yacht owners, actual or future ones, and sea lovers in general. If yacht brokers are part of this, it's a pure coincidence. As a future yacht owner, I think that you can skip working with a broker, especially if you buy a new yacht. I have recently read an article of the "requirements" to be a yacht broker, in case you want to be one if you love yachts, can't afford to buy one and want to work in the marine industry. It wasn't very relevant, because it was superficially … [Read more...]
Owners and Brokers

He also had a small office rented in a Marina, the place where I actually met him. Because of the yard, he wasn’t busy to cheating others, like my partner was at the time. I’m also sure he is not the last honest yacht broker in Turkey. Before meeting me, my partner used to steal information and pics … [Read more...]
Customer Care – The Way of Doing Business Elegantly
Happy New Year, dear yachtsmen, dear readers! Before continuing with more yacht brands, they are more than one hundred, I chose as my first post this year, another "chapter" for brokers, related to customer care. In a previous article, I've said something about assessing the virtual customer from the beginning. I've read advertisements saying that a certain broker offers lodging and leisure to any customer ready to accept his offers. Such a guy overplays. Rich, very rich people aren't … [Read more...]
